Canon Creed Christ and Church

Biblical and confessional theology, centred on Christ, for the Church and its mission, until he comes

About Me: I’m the Lecturer in Biblical Theology and Exegesis at Christ College, Sydney. I’m also an elder at Hornsby Presbyterian Church, and a cohost of the Down Under Theology podcast. I’ve spent most of my adult life studying the Bible and still feel I’m only scratching the surface. This website is a place to collect and share things I’ve written in the hope that they might be useful to others.

Canon, Creed, Christ, and Church

Welcome to Canon, Creed, Christ, and Church.

Here you’ll find both academic studies and more accessible publications and resources in five areas:

Canon: biblical exegesis and biblical theology

Creed: how Scripture relates to the church’s creeds and confessions

Christ: the gospel and the Gospels

Church: the life and leadership of God’s church

Until he comes: Christian eschatology

Series

We Believe series

We Believe is a series of eight major studies of the Christian faith’s primary doctrines as confessed in the Nicene Creed and guided by the Reformed tradition. Each volume presents a biblical and systematic theology of the doctrine, and shows its implications for the church’s worship, life, and mission. From Lexham Academic.

Reformed Exegetical and Theological Commentary on Scripture (RETCS)

RETCS is a major new commentary series on the whole Bible (64 volumes) to be published by Crossway. The RETCS series aims to provide a set of theologically unified commentaries  that will integrate exegesis, biblical theology, and systematic  theology in a Reformed confessional framework, designed to  serve the Church’s pastors and teachers in their ministry of the Word. More details coming soon.
